We are seeking a talented Financial Analyst that will join the team at our North American headquarters in Carlsbad, CA. This person will support our Sales and Marketing teams and focus on reporting and analytics of revenue, margin, and department spend. WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The Financial Analyst is a highly visible role that participates in reporting and analytics to support the North America Sales and Marketing teams. The individual is responsible for reporting and analytics of revenue, margin, and operating spend. The individual is an expert at data and technology management including data acquisition, mining, analysis, data integrity management, metrics management and reporting. The Financial Analyst has expert working knowledge of the utilization and manipulation of business intelligence through various tools such Oracle, Essbase and Excel. Additionally, you will:
- Provide support for analysis of Sales and Margin for the North American business, including reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
- P&L support (revenue, margin, operating spend) for subsidiaries within the North America business
- Develop the analysis and reporting related to business trends, potential performance gaps, product segmentation and business units.
- Perform FP&A functions for the North America team by providing decision support and reporting on strategic issues, budgeting & forecasting, planning analysis, as well as review of actual results.
- Perform financial modeling, decision modeling, and management reporting and ad hoc analysis. May be asked to present findings in small or large group settings in partnership with senior management.
- Establish close working relationships with multiple functional leaders and develop a clear understanding of their business challenges and needs.
- Drive and improve existing management reporting - analyze financial results, communicate key messages, and make recommendations to management.
- Provide presentation, and Excel support to other departments as needed.
- Run reports in ERP system using Essbase or other business intelligence tools
- Design and conduct other complex ad hoc analyses in support of key business objectives, as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE SEEK
- 2+ years previous financial analysis and/or accounting experience in consumer products, durable goods, and/or manufacturing company.
- Knowledgeable of US GAAP and IFRS
- Strong leadership skills (planning, communication, relationship building)
- Internal and cross-functional team building, communication, training and development are essential skills. Strategic thinker but detailed operator; excellent business judgment.
- Advanced knowledge Excel (especially advanced level pivot tables).
- Effective utilization of Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint , Word, Access.
- Math and analytical skills.
- Persuasive communication style; Personable.
- Determined; driven to succeed.
- Enthusiastic, passionate.
- Expert knowledge of business intelligence tools (Power BI, Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Oracle or similar)
- Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills.
- Ability to grasp Fluidra North America's short and long term priorities.
- Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, sound judgment.
- Excellent process improvement and problem resolution skills.
EDUCATION
BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related field.
