The Supply Chain Financial Analyst will be a finance partner to the Distribution, Logistics, and Warehousing pillars. This role will be responsible for analyzing and accounting for expenses and providing insights for the functional leadership team to reduce costs and optimize profits.

How you will make contributions that matter

• Partner with Senior Managers to develop budgets and forecasts (weekly, monthly, annual) for Supply Chain expenses and revenues.
• Prepare month-end entries and provide financial analysis to explain variances and improve P&L performance through increased revenue and cost reduction initiatives.
• Support the Distribution and Logistics department with analysis and reporting.
  
  • Transplace KPI's and Dashboards development.
  • Weekly and Monthly KPI reporting.
  • Analysis of cost trends and performance drivers.
  • Routing Guide analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Provide financial analysis to support distribution optimization decisions.
  • Understand, measure, and improve reporting and understanding of customer freight pricing vs. actual cost.
• Provide quarterly freight pricing to all Saputo customers for Delivery and CPU with multiple specialty pricing templates as well as ad hoc freight pricing for new requests and updates.
• Collect, track, and analyze weekly diesel prices.
• Ownership and reconciliation of Freight Claims process.
• Review carrier payments with SDF, AP, Transplace, and Manual Payment.
• Coordinate data download and upload between systems (Chainalytics, DAT, Transplace).
• Ownership and reconciliation of EDI transfers from Transplace.
• Special projects and additional duties as assigned by management.

You are best suited for the role if you

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative/technical discipline is required.
• 1-3 years professional experience, in a financial role - strong preference for experience supporting the logistics/distribution function
• Proven ability to build cross functional partnership relationships
• Strong attention to detail, superior analytical capability, and excellent verbal and written communication
• Must be proficient in all MS Office programs, with advanced skills in Excel and Access and in experience in advanced data modeling.
• SAP experience preferred but not required.
• Travel estimated at 10% annually
