SUMMARY

The role of the Financial Analyst - Program Management has a dual role that will support, collect, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data related to all projects/programs within our Global Technology Solutions division, and also, partner with our Technology and Portfolio Management teams to forecast and report on technology spend and personnel management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for preparing and developing financial plans for the Technology and Portfolio Management cost centers and large company initiatives, analyzing actual results vs. plans, and reporting results to Management on a scheduled basis.
  • Participate in the monthly accounting close to ensure costs are being recorded to the appropriate project/program and/or cost center as it appears in the budget or forecast.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages and commentary for costs that include, but not limited to, technology, office software, travel and entertainment, third party spend, and payroll/capitalized payroll.
  • Provide financial updates to project/program status reports, showing budget, forecast and actual financials.
  • Monitor and apply critical thinking to analyze capital and operating expenses throughout project/program lifecycle. Identify and address results that deviate from forecast.
  • Develop a standardized process for cost tracking that can be leveraged across all current and future projects/programs.
  • Assist in creating project/program resource plans.
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Actively participate with the Management team to understand financial inputs and provide guidance on operating decisions and changes to forecasts.
  • Assist in the development of financial dashboard reporting, KPIs, and financial planning and analysis reporting using company BI tools.
  • Clearly communicate and present financial data and reporting to relevant stakeholders, making any recommendations as needed, and use our technical solutions to help drive deeper analysis of data.
  • Analyze the company's business practices and identify/explore opportunities for improvement in financial productivity and processes.
  • Work with Management to develop and refine business case assessments across the business, in order to support project/program and capital spending decisions.
  • Additional ad-hoc assignments and projects supporting departments across the organization including month-end financial reporting, longer-term business plan development, benchmarking and process analysis.



QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Accounting or Economics degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen.
  • Excellent data and analytical skills with the ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing strategic presentations and executive communications.
  • Advanced financial modeling, Adaptive Insights, and experience using Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
  • Candidate should have a strong background in data analytics and tools including Tableau, Alteryx and/or another BI tool.
  • Skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Organized and able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously.
