Job Description Summary

Under general direction of the Senior Manager, Forecasting and Analytics, this role supports many key initiatives within Global Sourcing and Manufacturer Relations. The role requires collaboration between the Global sourcing teams as well as across other ABC organizations, such as AmerisourceBergen Drug Company, AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group, and others, and supports the financial analysis, forecasting, and data analytics that measure financial performance and support the business' strategic initiatives. The Analyst reports directly to the Manager and provides all aspects of finance support to the projects.

Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages inventory related solutions applying analytical tools, business processes, policies/procedures and systems in order to accomplish various business objectives.
  • Acts as an internal consultant to other functional groups in support of initiatives such as improving buy-side profits and inventory productivity
  • Provides analytical support and experience for a variety of inventory processes such as Deal Assessments, Working Capital Optimization, Price Appreciation Optimization, LIFO, and other inventory-related opportunities.
  • Participates in inventory related projects across the organization.
  • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.



EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires six (6) to eight (8) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Expert knowledge of procurement department processes, system and tools
  • Basic project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of ABC policies, programs & services and products
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
  • Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs; knowledge of SAP, SQL, EPM, Hyperion, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
