POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst works with the Senior Manager, Manager, Financial Analysis Lead Analyst and/or Financial Analysis Advisor to provide financial adjustment support to an assigned business unit (i.e., Account Management). Under general supervision, plans, coordinates and implements financial and business processes to support and enhance the financial management of the assigned business group. Position will have responsibilities related to processing and analyzing adjustment requests. Compiles, analyzes data and prepares an adjustment report. Responsible for communicating adjustment report to the assigned business unit and ensuring requests are completed in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for the delivery of specific delegated tasks by a Financial Operations Manager.
  • Completes day-to-day financial operations tasks without supervision, but has ready access to advice from more experienced team members.
  • Creates reports in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations as well as in accordance with financial auditing controls .
  • Must have knowledge of Excel tools to create pivot reports and filters for required financial analysis.
  • May gather results and prepare reporting for distribution to clients /internal teams .
  • May assist in business processing, service levels andreporting.
  • Responsible for processing business transaction including the identification of system issues, enhancements and required testing of financial system , and entry of any required accruals .
  • Task involves a degree of forward planning and anticipation of needs/issues.
  • Resolves non-routine issues escalated from internal cross functional partners .


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics.
  • 0-2 years relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Office.
  • Ability to handle analysis from issue identification to providing adjustment report.
  • Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of PBM or Healthcare industry preferred.
  • Strong business, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical, independent decision making and time management skills.
