Job Description

The Finance & Strategy Senior Analyst, reporting to a Finance & Strategy Manager, will work as a member of the Finance & Strategy team that supports TIDAL, one of Square's newest business units. Finance & Strategy team members have an intimate understanding of the business. We gain this by using analytical tools to evaluate customer and financial trends, answer questions with data-driven insights, and communicate relevant recommendations. You will play an important part in TIDAL's success by partnering with the Growth/Marketing team to improve efficiency and unlock growth for the business. You will also work across other important projects for the business as they become more comfortable. This position can sit in any of Square's US offices or be full-time remote from any US State with the exception of Alaska.

You Will:

  • Partner with the TIDAL Marketing/Growth team to analyze effectiveness and performance of spend
  • Build models to evaluate LTV across multiple segments to inform investment decisions
  • Use cohort analysis to understand the TIDAL user journey and retention
  • Regularly partner across departments and teams to analyze and report on the financial impact of decisions across the company
  • Support planning and forecasting processes for the TIDAL F&S team
  • Build trust with TIDAL and Square's senior leaders

Qualifications

You Have: 

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience (e.g. strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, investments)
  • Excellent proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (can perform complex functions), there will be a case study
  • Commitment to Square's purpose of Economic Empowerment
