The Client Incentive Operations team are responsible for managing incentive agreements. We ensure compliance with contractual terms and determine the accounting treatment of each incentive deal and conformity with US GAAP. This role is to lead an operational team to support client incentive agreements for the Latin America Region (LAC)

 Job Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, training, coaching, guidance, feedback, and continuous development opportunities to team members. 
  • Partner with the bigger Client Incentive Operations team, understand the various deals across regions and ensure a consistent business process applied globally for a similar contract structure
  • Responsible for the efficiency and accuracy of the day-to-day activities such as
    • Review and approve client incentive contracts and payments. Ensure accuracy and completeness of incentives that are set up in the system in accordance with the contract terms and accounting policy. Ensure consistencies in the process especially those to accommodate system limitation 
    • Determine the appropriate accounting treatment of contract terms per Visa’s accounting policy and in compliance with SOX controls
    • Liaise with stakeholders such as Sales and other Finance team members (such as OpCert, Billing, Finance Front Office, FP&A, Accounts Payable) to determine the fulfillment of contractual obligations and/or determine the incentives due to clients. Assist the team in resolution of related issues and discrepancies
    • Lead the implementation of new processes related to ORMB enhancements
    • Review monthly and quarterly deliverable
    • Ensure accurate and timely incentive payments to clients
    • Liaise with Technology team to resolve any issues encountered
    • Responsible for the team’s monthly production metrics vs. goals
  • Drive and support Client Incentive projects and initiatives such as system implementation, contract conversion, process improvements, and reporting, etc.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support to various internal and external parties
  • The candidate will interact with various levels of management across the organization as well as with external clients. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required to support cross-functional projects

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both home and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week, Monday (Sunday in some countries where Sunday is the start of the week) and Wednesdays. Wednesdays are designated as in-office collaboration days. The third day in the office will be decided based on team needs and determined in partnership with senior leadership. In addition to Miami, Florida, you can work out of our Sao Paolo office in Brazil.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience in finance, accounting or audit with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or audit with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD B.S. degree in Business/Accounting required with 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting or audit CPA, MBA or advanced degree preferred
Strong leadership and people management experience required
Must be able to build effective partnerships with stakeholders and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to motivate and inspire teams to drive results
Flexibility to lead change and adapt to changing business needs
Proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues
Self-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Fluent in Portuguese

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
