Finance Manager

In this role, you will oversee projects within the Process Automation Process Industries (PAPI), providing clear guidelines, tasks and milestones, while motivating and providing feedback.You will Investigate, analyze and prepare complex financial and business information in support of various functional groups. Oversee preparation of cost center budgets and calculate labor rates per internal guidelines. Lead monthly business reviews with managers to identify risks and drive action. Collaborate with the management team to support business requirements and help to ensure financial objectives are met. Manage monthly commission calculations for third party sales representatives and initiate payments. Oversee support for internal and external audits. Conduct or coordinate special studies and investigations and recommend measures to achieve resolution of complex and controversial financial problems. Perform month-end journal entries. Ensure adequate internal control systems which follow corporate guidance (SOX, Assurance). Supervision of one employee.

Your responsibilities

  • Analyze a variety of financial documents, perform technical studies and forecast trends impacting financial activities
  • Lead monthly business reviews with managers to identify risks and drive action
  • Preparation of cost center budgets and calculation of burden rates per internal guidelines
  • Collaborate with the management team to support changing business requirements
  • Calculate third party sales representative commissions and initiate payments
  • Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations
  • Partner with management to ensure annual key performance indicators (KPIs) are met
  • Complete month end journal entries
  • Reporting and follow up on overdue receivables
  • Management of one employee

Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business related field and a minimum 8 years experience; or Associate's Degree and a minimum 10 years experience in finance, accounting or project controlling, preferably with management experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of SAP, Proficiency with MS Excel, Knowledge of PowerBI.
  • Self driven personality with high motivation to work in an international company
  • Travel is minimal, less than 5%
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
