Finance Manager - Inbound and Supply Chain
Our Opportunity:
Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Finance Manager – Inbound Transportation and Supply Chain Finance to join our rapidly growing Supply Chain and Transportation Finance Team, in our Bellevue, WA or Dania Beach, FL headquarters. Combining an understanding of finance, strong practical knowledge of financial statements and using data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key decisions, drive growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved. This individual will partner with key decision makers across the organization to provide analytical and financial support.
What You'll Do:
- Update and create financial metrics to be reviewed on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Monitor Inbound transportation expense and inventory management for Supply Chain.
- Partner with team members and cross-functional leaders in Transportation and Supply Chain and lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review and forecasting processes to identify planning assumptions for key business drivers and track performance while explaining variances to plan and identifying risks and opportunities
- Review month-end close processes (knowledge of GAAP), experience with journal entries and financial forecasting and budgeting processes
- Recognize and propose analyses influencing business partners and finance leaders to drive positive changes in the business
- Extract and analyze data from central databases using Hyperion, SQL, and Tableau
- Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast paced environment
- Challenge current processes to find efficiency improvements while maintaining data integrity
- Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance
- Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to convey recommendation and/or conclusions to leadership
What You'll Need:
- BA/BS degree in Finance
- Experience in financial analysis, key performance indicators, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- 3-5 years relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and strong grasp of financial statements
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity
- Advanced Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP/Index Match, SUMIFS, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint/other Visual Presentation skills
- Ability to think creatively, self-start, work independently, deal with ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines / prioritize changing workloads
- Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
- Results-oriented mentality, highly energetic, dynamic individual with hands-on mentality
- Strong Communication skills – ability to distill and convey complex information messages clearly and succinctly
Bonus:
- MBA, preferred
- Previous financial analyst, supply chain or transportation finance experience
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Hyperion SmartView, Oracle ERP
