Job Responsibilities: What you will do

The Finance Training Program provides an intense learning rotational program, involving various finance functions such as; Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable, Account Management and Treasury Upon completion of 3-5 rotations over a 2 year period, you will have the skills and business knowledge positioned to fill a role of your choosing in one of those aforementioned groups as well as a number of other finance departments including Financial Planning and Analysis, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Pricing and Accounting.
  • Assist with projects that focus on continuous improvement related to minimizing billing discrepancies.
  • Analyze customer contracts, billings, and payments to ensure compliance with negotiated rates.
  • Develop resolutions to items which may cause delay or non-payment of customer invoices.
  • Identify, validate, and resolve customer balances and deductions for timely resolution.
  • Assist the Treasury Leader in areas such as cash forecasting, cash management, capital expenditures, lease administration, financing transactions and other treasury related transactions and reporting tasks.
  • Manage equipment lease portfolio, including lease payment, purchasing and payoff transactions.
  • Conduct analysis, fleet design and pricing data and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Support the business needs and risk management objectives of the company by reviewing and negotiating customer contracts and other documents as necessary to ensure compliance with company policies and business objectives.
  • Conduct reviews of contract documents, including master agreements, accessorial rules, business requirements, and other schedules as applicable.
  • Performs timely and correct billing of large volume accounts with complex billing requirements.
  • Complete and update account instructions and effectively back up on accounts as assigned.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership regarding process improvements.
  • Proactively identify potential problems and implement process improvements as approved by management.
  • Research and resolve accessorial concerns within billing standards according to customer requirements.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
  • Previous experience in transportation preferred.
  • Bachelor's in related field required.
  • Must be willing to be flexible with work assignments and rotational placements.
  • Progressive attitude and strong analytical skills in relation to advancing and changing environments.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, strong PC skills with Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to two-year program.
