Finance Business Partner, Credit
Job Description
We’re looking for a talented Senior Strategic Finance Associate to join our exceptional team, help us continue our rapid growth, and create a better way forward for our customers. In this position on our finance team, you will report to the VP of Finance and help drive revenue growth and portfolio optimization by working closely with Credit team on all credit decisions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience at a fintech company, with a strong understanding of lending economics, good analytical skills, and track record of working cross-functionally to drive forward recommendations.

In this role, you will
- Partner with Credit to develop a robust loss forecast and evaluate key credit decisions including approval rates, line amounts, and pricing
- Build and maintain financial models to support decision making
- Analyze sophisticated and open-ended questions at the intersection of profitability and risk; present findings in a clear and concise manner to influence partners across Credit, Marketing and Product teams
- Apply critical thinking & communication skills to make actionable recommendations; and drive those recommendations through to execution
You should have
- At least 3+ years of experience in an analytically-driven strategic finance role at a high growth fintech company
- Prior experience in financial services or FinTech is required, along with a good understanding of a lending P&L and unit economics, with experience or exposure to loss forecasting and loan valuation
- Advanced proficiency in excel and analytical tools (Tableau, SQL, Python)
- Ability to analyze complex, large data sets to derive meaningful business insights to support business strategy and growth
- Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships and work across all organizational levels
- Strong work ethic - able to take ownership beyond own responsibility and run timelines/deliverables effectively
- Degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science or related quantitative field is a plus
