Position Overview
Autodesk AEC Design Solutions Group empowers innovators in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry with best-in-class design, documentation, and analysis solutions, leading to the future of design so they can achieve new possible and make a better world.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Finance Business Partner to join the FP&A team to provide strategic partnership, financial insights, and guidance beyond numbers to the assigned business units. The role will partner with senior product and business leaders and report to the Finance Director, AEC Design.

Responsibilities

  • Finance business partner and member of the leadership team for the business groups to drive business growth and achieve financial goals
  • Empower decisions through strategic, proactive, and predictive insights and effective story telling
  • Partner with business group leaders on R&D portfolio management. Review existing portfolio and incremental investment need. Help prioritize and manage trade-offs to align investment portfolio with company strategy, AEC Design charter and the customer needs
  • Provide financial advice on day-to-day operation, strategic initiatives, roadmap, organizational and resources need
  • Drive execution of business priorities while maintaining financial goals
  • Manage long range plan and lead annual budgeting and detailed investment planning
  • Lead monthly forecast, highlight risk and opportunities, drive business actions and continuous process improvement to achieve forecast excellence and scale with Autodesk growth
  • Review R&D projects/initiative to ensure proper accounting on software capitalization
  • Analyze business performance and present quarterly financial results (incl. topline performance) to executive leaders and broader product teams
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and modeling to inform business cases
  • Partner across other finance functions on accounting close, earnings and external reporting etc
  • Implement and follow operating standards & policies and ensure compliance
  • Drive continuous process improvements to optimize efficiency and make recommendations to achieve better results
  • Participate in special projects assigned



Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. MBA/CPA preferred
  • 5+ years finance experience (FBP, FP&A, M&A Transaction Services)
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial modeling
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity
  • Adaptable to constant changes
  • Tech/SaaS company experience preferred
