Description: Our client is currently seeking a Finance Analyst II

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible to maintain and update complex financial forecast models giving insight into bad debt, penalty revenue, and various operating expenses that give senior leadership the ability to make strategic decisions. Produce timely standardized metrics/reports to support management decision. Conduct exhaustive analysis on bad debt KPIs and must possess good communication skills to coordinate with key internal stakeholders on findings.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Produce timely and accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics/reports that give leadership insight to delinquencies, bad debt, and penalty revenue.
  • Maintain and update complex financial models that forecast bad debt, penalty revenue and other operating expenses.
  • Works with Accounting to record month end accruals for month close process.
  • Analyze and report trends against forecast and budget.
  • Coordinate with key internal stakeholders throughout the company to determine appropriate modeling assumptions and structuring for bad debt.
  • Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for bad debt optimization and drivers of bad debt including attrition, pricing, operational processes, etc.
  • Perform financial analysis to determine present and future financial performance on penalty revenues.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests by management.
  • Perform all aspects of work with a high degree of effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy.
Education and Experience Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or economics from an accredited college or university, strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience to include but not limited to; accounting, financial forecasting, or financial analysis.
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of SAP, BW query a plus
  • Advanced MS excels are preferable. Proficient with other Microsoft office applications such as Access a plus.
  • Works independently through the use of initiative and self-motivation. Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Adapts effectively to new and changing environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large amounts of data
  • Excels in quickly conceptualizing and assimilating data to make decisions and take appropriate action.
  • Good written skills to document processes, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment. Able to take a leadership role in a project team to establish plans, coordinate team activities, and assure successful completion of objectives.
  • Proficient in effectively communicating to a wide range of audiences in both written and oral form
