The Opportunity
As a Domain Owner for SAP Treasury & Banking, you will own & lead the implementation SAP Treasury & Banking functionality. The role entails operational & tactical vision/roadmap, configuration, Domain ownership & support across all dependent systems using SAP Treasury, Capital/Cash Mgmt., Banking and Risk mgmt. The person in this position will start as an individual contributor in a new team that is growing with the progress of SAP S/4 HANA implementation.
You will be part of Corporate Finance, within the Business Initiatives team.
The Team
This role is with the General Ledger Transformation Team, which is part of the Controllers group in CFO office. The team is leading the charge to improve the efficiency and operations within the General Ledger area, primarily in SAP technologies. This is a newly formed team and thus provides ample growth opportunities in near future in operations, support, and data analytics around financial data. The role reports to Business consultant under the org structure of Head of General ledger- Transformation. The role partners with Corporate IT, 3rd party Vendors and business users/leaders across Treasury, FP&A, Actuary, Data Mgmt. etc.
The Impact
- Accountability
- Act as SME for SAP Treasury & Banking with In-depth understanding of SAP Treasury/Banking module along with knowledge of SAP FICO, SAP AR/AP, SAP PCA/CCA & SAP Sub-Ledger.
- Own the treasury IT operations, particularly in investments, debt, cash positioning, Credit-line (Revolver), payments, Bank BAI files, Letter of Credit, Wire/SWIFT, ACH/EFT, Lockbox, etc.
- Business Acumen
- Lead the SAP Treasury Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation and deployment in SAP ERP S/4 HANA in partnership with implementation teams, IT and Off-shore business partners.
- Domain Process owner for all period close activities (monthly, quarterly, annually) such as preparation of Bank reconciliation, non-statutory reporting, journal update & Market Data mgmt.

- Share SAP Treasury & Banking best practices, industry knowledge, and personal expertise to educate both business users and implementation team, in formal and ad hoc settings
- Guides the team in establishing effective governance and key timelines, milestones, and deliverables for successful initiative execution

- Independently manage Bank reconciliation, Treasury payments and bank communications.
- Collaborate closely with other Controllers teams, such as the financial close team and external reporting to ensure the accurate recognition of accounting for various transactions and events
- Development
- Lead SAP centric configuration & process changes in alignment with accounting policy within the Controllers Organization for evaluation/implementation of new GAAP/statutory reporting needs.
- Lend Configuration & tactical support to other peer teams such as SAP GL, SAP Data Analytics, SAP FPSL, SAP Profitability, SAP Reporting, and other Project team members
- Leading Others
- Lead Use Case formulation, As-Is/To-be analysis, product demos, Joint Application Development (JAD sessions) to help understand processes, SAP Treasury capabilities, and business benefits
- Guides the team in establishing effective governance and key timelines, milestones, and deliverables for successful initiative execution
- Agility
- Coordinate/collaborate across Finance, enterprise technology, internal audit, enterprise risk, other business units and external audit
- Understand how data flow through financial systems to accounting function & plan appropriately for changes while prioritizing
The Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Accounting, Finance, IT, Computers, or another similar field
- 5 years of SAP ERP and/or SAP S/4 HANA implementation (Hands-on) with support experience within SAP Treasury & Banking, FICO, AR/AP/GL, PA, PCA, CCA etc.
- Hands-on experience implementing SAP FPSL, sAFI, Bank Analyzer (BA) or Insurance Analyzer (IA).
- Familiarity and/or experience working with Public Clouds such as AWS, AZURE & GCP
- At-least 2 full Life-cycle SAP Banking implementation experience.
- Familiarity/Experience in SAP modules such as FI, CO, AR, AP, GL, PA, PCA, CCA, Treasury etc.
The Ideal Qualifications
- MBA/CPA or equivalent and/or Certified Treasury Professional certification ('CTP') preferred.
- Experience with treasury system such as Bank of America CashPro or CitiDirect is a bonus
- A Full life-cycle SAP S/4 HANA implementation with Universal Ledger highly preferred
- Experience in Hedging/Risk Mgmt., FX, exchange rates, Structured products, derivatives (futures, Swaps, options), Market data systems such as Bloomberg, preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, insurance statutory accounting/reporting and/or experience in Financial Institutions preferred
- Experience in other SAP products - SAP BW, BusinessObjects, SAP BPC, SAP C4C is Bonus
- Ability to work with senior management and influence decision making
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change
- Ability to proactively take ownership of projects and drive to completion
- Experience working in a Finance transformational setting & driving change
- Use increasing insight to identify and implement improvements that increase the business value and efficiency of the work performed.
- Ability to Initiate and/or leads increasingly complex projects and continuous improvement activities that may span beyond the scope of own team
- Experience in best-in-class control execution/documentation
- Detail-oriented with demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work across levels, from staff to executive management
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in future
- Travel between Boston and Springfield required
