Responsibilities

  • The Director of Tax will lead all aspects of direct and indirect tax for the company
  • Support the Corporate Accounting department by preparing supporting schedules for tax calculations, provisions, forecasts, and tax audit requirements
  • Develop and build Acquco’s international tax and compliance strategies to ensure consistent quality and adherence to global principles across multiple jurisdictions
  • Manage Acquco’s state tax footprint with nexus and filing methods among varied state filing groups
  • Build robust and scalable tax reporting processes from the ground up to ensure tax compliance with all relevant jurisdictions where the company operates
  • Serve as the go-to expert for all tax questions and will lead oversight for the company
  • Own the monthly/quarterly/annual tax provision and related tax journal entries in accordance with preparation of our US GAAP financial statements
  • Oversee, coordinate with, and manage the Company's 3rd party tax providers ensuring that all tax related issues are identified, communicated and resolved in a timely manner
  • Lead the development of operational tax strategies and processes
  • Coordinate the tax review and audit process with external auditors and provide necessary tax disclosures
  • Independently research tax related topics, including international, federal, state, and indirect tax developments and laws that impact the company
  • Internally consult and liaise with other departments/business units regarding the tax impact of new products, acquisitions, significant transactions, etc.
  • Lead all processes related to transactional and all indirect taxes, including sales and use tax, business personal property tax, withholding tax, unclaimed property and other business taxes to ensure reporting compliance
  • Handle audits related to all indirect tax, withholding tax, and information reporting filings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Masters is Taxation, Preferable
  • 10+ years combined experience in a public accounting firm and/or public company corporate tax department
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and tax software
  • Experience building a tax department
