About the role 

This role is responsible for proactively remaining abreast of changes in the private equity market and its impacts to Ladder’s strategy, including both short-term and long-term plans. This role will ultimately report directly to the CFO, but will work closely beside the CEO, Biz Ops, and Finance to support strategic decision making through financial modeling and analysis. This role will also help to refine and improve key aspects of our long-term operating model with the goal of creating strategic clarity through strategic planning and forecasting.

How you'll make a difference

  • Build financial models, conduct financial analysis, and create business metrics in support of company fundraising, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions
  • Lead financial planning, partnering with leaders throughout the company to position the business for future success
  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders to lead complex financial modeling and business analyses
  • Understand and create enterprise awareness of business impact from decisions, strategic initiatives and related business model changes
  • Leverage external perspectives and shareholder insights to inform long-term strategic opportunities and financial analyses
  • Drive ongoing assessment of company’s capital structure and capital markets opportunities to optimize the company’s cost of capital

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, economics  or related field of study
  • 8+ years of progressive responsibilities related to financial planning, M&A, investment banking and or strategic modeling
  • Deep knowledge of private equity markets
  • Exceptional analytics and strong attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate complicated ideas to audiences with various levels of knowledge on the topics
  • Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with employees, customers, and other outside third parties.
  • Ability to drive change and be resilient to successfully handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to lead and manage through influence in a hybrid/remote work model

The base pay range targeted for this position is $173,500 - $220,000. This role is eligible for equity and benefits as shared above. Base pay is determined by market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
