Joining Collibra's Finance team:

Collibra’s Finance team is united by our relentless focus on building trusted business partnerships, solving difficult business challenges, scaling systems and processes for growth, and making a meaningful impact on our business.

We embody our values of “We are one Collibra” by working, learning, and having fun together; as well as being “Open, direct and kind” with each other.  We are passionate about the role finance can play in shaping our business, take full ownership over the work we do, and are driven to get things done.

The Director of Procurement at Collibra is responsible for:

  • Building and scaling Collibra’s global procurement function.  Reporting into the VP, Finance, you will build a high-performing procurement team and partner closely with senior leadership across all functions to establish best practices in procurement strategy, systems, processes and policies.
  • Partnering closely with senior leadership across all Go-to-market, Product, Engineering, and G&A functions to understand and support business strategy and investment priorities.   Procurement should be seen as a strategic partner to drive economic value through cost-saving / cost-avoidance which can be reinvested back into driving Collibra’s growth.
  • Managing the procurement lifecycle with current and future vendors.  You will manage vendor relationships, monitor contract expirations, partner closely with internal stakeholders on strategies, and initiate renewal negotiations with suppliers.
  • Representing Collibra in commercial negotiations with vendors to drive favorable pricing and terms, and ensure risk mitigation.  You will lead strategic, potentially complex, multi-faceted negotiations with vendors, including technical service providers critical to Collibra’s day-to-day operations and long-term success.
  • Developing and communicating procurement best practices across the organization.  As a strategic partner to the business, you will develop, communicate, and implement an engagement model for the business built on procurement best practices.
  • Creating and monitoring procurement KPI’s/metrics.  You will develop metrics to measure procurement’s impact on the organization and track progress to goals.

You Have:

  • Risen through the ranks as a procurement analyst/manager yourself, and now have 8+ years experience in sourcing and/or procurement.
  • Deep knowledge of, and experience negotiating with many of the key, strategic vendors typical of a high-growth, SaaS technology company
  • Experience building and/or scaling procurement teams, tools, and processes in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
  • Implemented and driven adoption of company-wide, global procurement processes/best practices
  • Built, managed, mentored, and/or developed a high-performing procurement team

You Are:

  • A thoughtful collaborator, and great listener, keenly focused on understanding business challenges, building strong relationships and driving even stronger outcomes
  • A highly analytical problem-solver, with a propensity for taking action.
  • Able to “zoom in and out” of details when needed.  You love to “roll up the sleeves” and get into the data and analysis while keeping the bigger picture in focus.
  • An excellent communicator capable of translating complex, nuanced, or detailed analysis into clear, actionable summaries or recommendations.
  • Extremely organized, comfortable in ambiguity, and highly adaptable while creating clarity and focus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Reporting to Collibra's VP of Finance, the Director of Procurement's measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will begin to develop cross functional relationships and understand the top priorities and procurement pain points of the business
  • Within your third month, you will have established a procurement strategy and roadmap for the future, while tackling “quick-win” pain points across the organization
  • Within your sixth month, you will have hired your first two direct reports and made progress on implementing a new procurement system and/or process
