About Your Role:


As the Director of Pricing & Packaging, you will drive pricing and packaging strategy for all of our offerings (products, services, and customer support). In this highly strategic role, you will work with leaders across the company to develop, drive, and measure a pricing strategy that accelerates customer acquisition and expansion. You will drive a cross-functional leadership committee and balance a variety of opinions, customer feedback, and market research and data to drive recommendations and consensus around pricing and packaging plans for our global business. Strong candidates will have experience developing a pricing strategy and a passion for business, market research, data analysis, and financial modeling. You will also run GTM analysis such as win/loss and churn analysis to provide signaling and insights back to the business.


Who You Are:

  • You are both metrics and analysis-driven with a strong understanding of the market environment in which we compete.
  • You possess strong research - quantitative and qualitative to validate your work and recommendations.
  • You are customer-obsessed (both external and internal) 
  • You are able to drive consensus across multiple teams and stakeholders - especially comfortable in working with the executive leadership team and defending your positions. 
  • You are a strategist with strong critical thinking ability and an eye towards tactical execution to ensure superior outcomes.
  • You are equally comfortable developing a presentation as you are working in SQL, Salesforce and Tableau.

Projects You Will Work On:

  • Conduct customer and market research to understand the market opportunity, customer value drivers, and effectiveness of pricing strategies for each market in which we operate.
  • Develop a pricing performance framework/KPIs, and report on results to the senior leadership team
  • Work with product teams to understand product roadmap and feature functionality to develop pricing and packaging recommendations before launch
  • Monitor competitors and the market broadly to identify and respond to pricing changes or trends.
  • Lead sales enablement and training to ensure GTM teams can effectively articulate and defend our pricing approach.
  • Develop sales collateral (presentations, pricing/contract sheets, FAQs, etc.) for GTM teams to use in the field
  • Lead cross-company pricing committee to revisit pricing impact, effectiveness, recommend adjustments and present proposed new feature packaging.
  • Active participant in deal desk to review pricing and discounting requests for key opportunities.

Experience:

  • 6+ years experience in pricing, product marketing, consulting, or corporate strategy in the enterprise/B2B software industry.
  • Experience conducting primary and secondary market research
  • Ability to analyze data and distill actionable insights for cross-functional and leadership teams
  • Strong communicator and collaborator who is able to develop effective relationships with product, marketing, customers success, sales, operations, and finance teams
  • Comfortable working independently and juggling multiple projects simultaneously
  • SQL and Salesforce skills a plus
