  • Develop, recommend, and execute global payroll strategies to ensure compliance, efficiency, and trust in our payroll delivery and to meet business objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day payroll operations to deliver payroll timely and accurately and in compliance with tax and labor law requirements.
  • Evaluate and design effective standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all pay processes adhere to internal controls and regulatory pay requirements for each jurisdiction.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll systems, lead system implementations, and the design of new payroll processes.
  • Partner with the payroll accounting team.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are documented and updated in a timely manner.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators related to the processing and accounting of payroll.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis on accounting, business, finance, or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.


EXPERIENCE:

  • 8 years' experience successfully leading a team of payroll professionals for a multi-national company.
  • 5 years of experience with Workday or Oracle, ADP, Kronos and Nautical Systems preferred.
  • 3 years of experience working with unionized workforce payrolls and marine payroll preferred.
