Job Overview

The Head of Investor Relations will drive and support the execution of a comprehensive and proactive domestic and global investor relations program. The leader will develop corporate messaging to ensure the company is appropriately positioned with the analyst and investor community and all other key stakeholders. The leader will also be responsible for investor and analyst outreach, including management of agency relationships, as well as direct competitive analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create, own, and drive IR strategy and outreach for overall IR program
  • Develop and execute a plan designed to strengthen existing relationships and build new relationships with institutional shareholders to provide a comprehensive perspective of the company as an investment to enhance its value and marketability and drive positive awareness and enthusiasm for the company
  • Manage rating agency relationships in partnership with the corporate Treasury team
  • Direct competitive analysis working closely with FP&A to ensure the company is positioned appropriately among peers in order to highlight its unique strengths and capabilities.
  • Track marketplace trends, perceptions and reactions to company financials, news and industry developments
  • Rigorously assess the relative positioning of the company in the marketplace and track market trends.
  • Provide strategic insights and market intelligence gathered to assist senior leadership in understanding relative performance for positioning
  • Ensure best in class disclosure practices, working collaboratively with the financial reporting and legal teams
  • Partner closely with finance leadership to direct and develop content for financially oriented documents, including quarterly earnings documents, financial news releases, SEC filings, the Annual Report, investor fact sheets, investor presentations as well as printed and electronic presentation materials used in investor related settings
  • Manage ad-hoc projects as requested



Required Education, Skills, and Qualification

  • University Degree in finance, accounting, or economics or related
  • Minimum 10 years prior relevant experience in financial services with at least 5 + years in Investor Relations in a public company.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts, financial performance and strategic priorities into compelling messaging for external audiences
  • High level of integrity, judgment and discretion, and work ethic
  • Self-directed and highly motivated with the ability to multitask and work independently in a high-paced environment
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the capital markets, as well as a thorough understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational and management skills.



Preferred Education, Skills, and Qualification

  • MBA or Master's degree in finance, accounting or economics preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEC laws and securities disclosure requirements, as well as filing requirements
  • A strong understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics, and customer trends
  • Demonstrated success in managing external relationships within the financial community, industry analysts, and institutional investors
  • In normal circumstances, ability to travel up to 50%
