Director FP&A, Pharma Technology Innovation Group (PTIG)

Current Need:
McKesson is seeking a Director of FP&A to lead finance for the Pharmaceutical Technology & Innovation Group. The Director of FP&A will lead the finance team in all facets of PTIG financials including month-end close & variance analysis, updating forward forecasts, and preparation of the annual budget. In addition to these responsibilities, the position will work closely with business partners within PTIG to provide recommendations surrounding growth initiatives, develop and execute on pricing initiatives, and build complex financial models for innovation-related business cases. This position will work closely with the PTIG Leadership Team in driving annual finance performance and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads the PTIG FP&A team on a day-to-day basis with responsibility for multiple commercial businesses & shared functions
- Prepares executive level summaries and presentations to explain financial performance and key drivers to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Performs monthly close & forecasting activities
- Provides direction on development and maintenance of both existing and new, complex financial models used in development of forecasts and business cases
- Provides monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis on risks and opportunities facing the business; provide recommendations and action plans to optimize performance and mitigate risk
- Works closely with sales department on pricing new customer contracts and agreements
Minimum Requirements:
- 8 - 12 years of financial, analytics or accounting experience and demonstrated leadership skills
- 3 - 5 years of people management experience
Critical Skills
- Must have strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Effective business partnership with the ability to influence decision makers
- Ability to lead and balance multiple projects in various stages of completion
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Thorough knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Specialized Knowledge/Skills
- Experience with a large company ERP and enterprise forecasting tools (i.e. SAP BPC, TM1, HFM, etc)
- Salesforce knowledge
- CPA preferred
Education:
- 4 year degree in finance or related field or equivalent experience
- MBA preferred
