About the Role:
The Director of FP&A - Operations will be a key member of both the Finance and Farm Operations teams at Bowery. In this role, you will serve as the direct link between the complex operations of our business and financial planning and controllership functions. Reporting to our VP of FP&A, this hire will contribute to all areas of operations management and will provide vital financial support to the team building and managing our growing network of farms. This hire will also be responsible for planning and coordinating operations budgets and business planning activities in alignment with corporate profitability and performance objectives.

What You'll Do:
- Lead weekly/monthly financial and operational planning and reporting activities, including executive management reporting, analysis and forecasts, variance commentary, and overall financial performance analysis
- Design reporting tools to enhance visibility into the operational performance of the business; evaluate financial and operational metrics and provide meaningful analysis to company leadership
- Partner with farm operations to ensure accurate and timely capture and reporting of all farm costs and operational metrics
- Develop farm operational SLAs, set daily, weekly, and monthly targets, and drive execution in line with those metrics
- Capital spend management and accounting support related to the build and launch of farms
- Provide real-time feedback on the operations of the business using the vast data and analytics tools available on the proprietary BoweryOS
- Develop value-added analysis to help identify revenue and cost opportunities and work directly with the operations team to develop strategies to improve financial performance
- Remain engaged in the implementation of these solutions and provide reporting against progress toward our objectives
Who You Are:
- You have industry experience with budgeting/planning, financial modeling, and decision analytics
- Relevant years of finance operations experience (e.g. FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking)
- You have experience managing CAPEX projects, including Capital allocation and target setting
- You are a collaborator and can act as a business partner to our Operations teams
- You are a self-starter that enjoys rolling up your sleeves and building complex financial models in Excel
- You have a knack for taking raw data, analyzing, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable insights
- You have a strong work ethic and are results-driven
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented
- You have experience managing and developing a team
- You are a clear communicator who can organize and boil down complex ideas for any audience in a written or verbal format
