Job Summary:

This position will be reporting to Corporate Controller or CFO depending on experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated professional to develop and lead our technical accounting and financial reporting group. This position represents a unique opportunity to provide accounting and finance expertise and work daily with a broad array of departments and levels of management on key issues. This position will also oversee high-profile special projects within the Accounting and Finance function.

This person should have significant knowledge and experience in applying and interpreting technical accounting, reporting, and disclosure requirements, as well as a good understanding of economics and business matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Company's reporting function through owning the preparation and review of required SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q
  • Work cross-functionally on SEC reporting matters for preparation and review of financial statements, footnote disclosures, MD&A, and relevant disclosure checklists
  • Select, assess, and implement a reporting software to optimize the reporting process
  • Drive the quarterly drafting and review cycle including meetings with the leaders of the business functions
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements for internal stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation and review of audit schedules for the quarterly reviews and annual audit
  • Research and document accounting positions for complex transactions
  • Assist with evaluating the accounting consequences of potential transactions and provide input and suggestions to planned and proposed agreements
  • Follow emerging accounting issues and proactively analyze their impact on the Company's results and financial position and lead implementation of new accounting standards in partnership with the Assistant Controller
  • Provide guidance and training on technical accounting issues to various constituents within the Company
  • Assist FP&A team with regular forecasts and budgetary processes relating to relevant technical accounting transactions
  • Assist IR Team with any questions relating to Company's financial statements and accounting positions



Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with active CPA license required; Master's preferred
  • Strong technical accounting background with thorough knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting standards.
  • Experience with technical research and preparation of technical memos
  • Minimum of 8 years experience required, including Big 4 experience
  • Ability to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate complex accounting and reporting issues to finance and non-finance personnel
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • SaaS industry experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid change
  • The ability to work well with, and manage, others under the stress of meeting deadlines is a must
  • A high degree of project management and organizational skills
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to interact with internal and external parties in a manner that generates excitement and builds confidence in new processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for an extended period.
  • Ability to travel and attend events where one may be standing for long periods.
