We're looking for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team. You are someone who will build an inspired finance team and excels in managing complex operational challenges. We are looking for a strategic and operationally-minded professional with advanced financial modeling skills and a partner mindset. You will help build an outstanding finance team while partnering across the business to ensure our processes are running smoothly. You will report directly to the CFO.

The Success You'll Build:

• Manage a budget that supports CrowdStreet's operating needs and sets clearly defined short-term goals and operational plans for the next year
• Guide a comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to CrowdStreet's strategic goals and our long-term mission and financial future
• Ensure that we achieve important financial goals
• Provide accurate ongoing forecasts to ensure that we understand revenue trends and how resources are being deployed
• Design a monthly reporting package that includes full financial analysis, weekly comprehensive Goal (KPI) reporting, unit economics, operational Dashboards, analysis of essential business trends, actual versus budget variances, and comprehensive executive-level explanations of differences
• Work with BI teams to improve existing self-service reporting tools to create standard management reporting packages and prioritize FP&A bandwidth to add insights
• Support the CFO in industry/competitive intelligence and real estate/technology trends designed to inform CrowdStreet's strategic planning process and to evaluate opportunities for potential inorganic growth
• Manage a team of financial analysts over time

The Experiences That Will Help You Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance
• 8+ years of experience in FP&A, consulting, investment banking, strategy, business operations and analytics with experience managing finance teams
• Advanced Office and application skills (Excel (can perform complex functions) /Sheets, Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides) and proficiency with using different systems to retrieve and analyze data.

The Competencies You'll Need:

• Experience helping shape a strategy using data-driven approach and ability to partner with senior leadership.
• Experience developing data models, financial models and forecasts
• Experience working with teams including Product and Engineering, Analytics, and Finance and Accounting
• Track record in evaluating decisions, including identifying gaps or needs, and proposing and implementing solutions
• A focus on and an interest in driving inorganic growth (with M&A and investments)
• complex information in an easy-to-understand format and can calibrate the message based on your audience.
• Fintech experience
• Public company FP&A experience.
• Data analytics coding experience
