Position Summary
This role will be in charge of building and managing every aspect of our new direct to investor 506c platform for Farmland Capital. They will be the first employee leading this offering, but will partner extensively with our Farmland Capital team and our farmer-facing sales and underwriting teams. The candidate will need to be able to do everything from effectively discussing high level investment themes for farmland to managing a detail oriented sales process to understanding complex legal documents and requirements.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the 506c Investor Platform including providing thought leadership on brand development, marketing strategy, investor relations, reporting and all other facets of the business to facilitate the rapid growth of the platform
    • Develop a strong brand and partner with internal and external marketing resources to execute on a go-to market strategy that highlights the products strengths compared to market alternatives and aligns with a farmers first mindset
    • Lead new investor development and onboarding strategy for potential new investors including developing and managing an internal IR team to manage and close the pipeline of potential accredited investors
    • Partner with internal and external product, design, IT, and engineering resources to support the development of investor facing tools
    • Internalize and incorporate market feedback and challenges into our forecasts and develop solutions
  • Collaborate internally with the product, finance, treasury, credit, sales, and operations teams to provide maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the business strategy and processes
  • Be an integral member of the FBN Finance leadership who can contribute across the business
  • Prepare executive level presentations to guide business strategy decisioning and reporting
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, IT, and other functions to manage the processes and technology infrastructure in place to support the investor pool function
    • Work with fund administration unit to create said processes and infrastructure


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience to include 2 years in investment banking, private equity farmland investing or investor relations experience and 3 years in the tech / start-up space; OR an MBA plus 7 years of experience to include 2 years in investment banking, private equity farmland investing or investor relations experience and 3 years in the tech / start-up space.


Preferred Qualifications

  • An interest and experience in agriculture.
  • MBA Degree

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range of possible compensation for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $155,000 - $190,000.
This salary range may vary based on geography and variations in cost of labor. Beyond the above or adjusted to market salary range, FBN also offers all full-time employees competitive equity compensation, health and wellness benefits, and various perks.
