About the job
The Red Hat Finance team is looking for a Director of Finance and Accounting Operations to join us in Raleigh, NC or remotely. In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of a sustainable operational support strategy for the Red Hat CFO team. Focused on supporting operations across the organization, you will lead a team of analysts with the objective of increasing business impact, partner with process owners and delivery leaders to deliver business capability strategies, support the adoption of new solutions, and positively impact productivity and associate experience. You will consult and collaborate with key business leaders, global process owners, technology experts, and end users to identify operational support requirements, implement an effective service management model, and measure the impact of service management across the CFO. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Develop and implement a CFO operations program that will use service management best practices; the program will encompass a range of activities including requirements gathering, business issue case resolution and deployment of new accounting and finance capabilities
  • Lead a team of senior leaders and business analysts, providing direction, coaching, and performance assessment
  • Oversee team responsibilities that'll include full analysis of finance and accounting operational issues, resolution of operational issues, requirements gathering for new or enhanced capabilities, managing user testing of solution fixes, enhancements and new capabilities, and end user training
  • Define and implement service measurement systems; partner with the global process owners to accelerate data-driven decision making
  • Partner closely with peers on the implementation of large scale projects
  • Regularly communicating to stakeholders, tracking results, monitoring progress, setting future expectations, and soliciting feedback
  • Build and maintain excellent business relationships with key business owners, corporate stakeholders, project managers, and other roles as appropriate; contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment


What you will bring

  • 10+ years of management experience, with exceptional leadership skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions to deliver process excellence
  • Excellent analytical skills and applied knowledge of a problem solving process with a process and data mindset
  • Analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills with solid attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Skilled in creating a vision, strategy, and establishing roadmaps and immediate priorities for fulfillment
  • Finance or accounting experience
  • Experience in the high tech industry is a plus
  • Business process management experience is a plus
