Job Title:

Defense Engineering Financial Analyst

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinates development of Defense Engineering budget with cross-functional collaboration in alignment with overall business plan
  • Forecast process management and execution including monthly reporting of Defense Engineering budget/forecast performance and variance analysis
  • Compiles financial information from all project owners within Defense Engineering and inputs monthly forecast into Product Engineering financial management system
  • Working with multiple functions in support of cost analysis pertaining to proposals in development
  • Track and report expenses against active programs
  • Increase accuracy and productivity through tool/template development, eliminating duplications and acquiring information requirements
  • Develop and present financial data to other members of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; or equivalent work experience
  • 1 year or more experience in a financial analyst, budget analyst or accounting role
  • Experience using SAP in a financial setting, (SAP BPC experience preferred)
  • Experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts preferred
  • Proficient in database management and personal computer skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel) and technology driven
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to professional personnel
  • Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time restraints

Preferred:

  • 3+ years experience
