Credit Risk Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Credit Risk leader who is data-driven and has strong analytical & technical skills. In this role, you will report to our Director of Credit Risk and lead the team in developing risk policies and strategies for lending products. You’ll work closely with product, data engineering, machine learning, and analytics teams and will interact with business stakeholders across many departments.
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Be responsible for the risk performance of all of our various lending productsÂ
- Develop credit policies from the ground up for new lending products and continuously iterate to improve credit product approval criteria and line assignment strategies
- Collaborate with various data teams to build data infrastructure and establish reporting dashboards that will help senior management understand credit risk trends and exposures
- Leverage external and internal Chime data to build credit models and policies in partnership with our Data Science team
- Work with cross functional teams across the company (including core banking) to measure the impact of lending products on their businesses and also help them out on their analytical needs
- Build and manage a team of high performing risk analystsÂ
- Advise and mentor analysts throughout the organization with a focus on information-based strategy
To thrive in this role, you have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Finance, or other quantitative disciplines; a Master’s degree with a quantitative focus is a plus
- 5+ years of analytical experience in Financial Services, preferably at a FinTech company
- 2+ years of experience managing a team of risk analytics professionals with deep expertise in building and managing risks of various credit products like loans, lines of credit, credit cards etc.,.
- Hands-on detail-oriented leader with exceptional communication skills.Â
- Excellent SQL programming skills, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience in Python (or R or SAS or similar language) and working in Looker or a similar business intelligence tool
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and exceed ambitions deadlines while ensuring flawless completion
