Responsibilities

The Corporate Finance Manager will work directly with the Director of Finance to craft analytical tools and quantitative frameworks which enhance high-priority strategic, financial and operational business decisions. This position will lead long-term projects like business planning, budgeting and forecasting, and also serve as the primary day-to-day finance partner for cross-functional business leaders, providing data-driven insights which shape key business decisions around initiatives like new product development, pricing and capital allocation. This is a foundational hire for a small entrepreneurial team that will offer significant opportunities for upward mobility with increasing compensation for strong performers.

Specifically, the Corporate Finance Manager will:

  • Collaborate across the organization to develop a deep understanding of PathAI 
  • Develop quantitative frameworks which influence key business decisions like developing pricing strategy, evaluating unit economics, assessing new products and market fit, launching new business models and shaping budgeting and forecasting strategy
  • Create and present structured analyses with clear takeaways from disparate data sources
  • Quickly establish strong working relationships with cross-functional business partners
  • Effectively influence and communicate with executive level decision makers
  • Balance multiple high-priority projects across teams with competing turnaround times
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Corporate Finance team by enhancing existing processes, recruiting, and developing new team members

Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses an advanced corporate finance and analytical skill set with a track record of shaping key business decisions through the development of rigorous quantitative analyses. A particularly strong candidate will also be an effective communicator who can summarize and articulate key metrics, trends and ratios with the ability to seamlessly navigate financial statements both technically and verbally. We are primarily seeking a high-capacity candidate that has polished technical skills and a proven track record of achievement, but is also focused on long-term career development, mentorship and continued opportunities for growth. This team will continue to focus on further developing technical skills, strategic frameworks and leadership capabilities that will help this candidate evolve into a dynamic cross-functional business leader.

Qualifications may include:

  • Strong intellectual curiosity with demonstrated application of analytical horsepower
  • 3-5 years in investment banking or quantitative role with associated technical training
  • Capable of owning financial model and creating robust multi-scenario analyses 
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate detailed financial analyses for non-technical colleagues and senior leadership as required
  • Track record of forming strong relationships with cross-functional business partners
  • Experience organizing and summarizing detailed financial data from disparate sources 
  • Comfortable balancing multiple projects and work streams with quick turnaround time
  • High-degree of attention to detail and bias for accuracy
