We want you to think big and act bold through expressing your authentic best self! Anaplan is looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our Accounting team in, San Francisco, CA. This is a stellar opportunity to get involved in a highly visible, large-scale SaaS cloud company. This role is an immediate full-time position. Anaplan is looking to hire a qualified Corporate Accountant to its Accounting team. This is a crucial role that will assist in overseeing general accounting operations in a fast paced and evolving environment. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, SOX compliance control execution and quarterly / annual audit process, as well as identifying and driving project-based work to provide process efficiencies for the general ledger team. The candidate should expect to demonstrate current skillsets while also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the current processes. This role will be reporting to Accounting Manager.

Insight on your impact

  • Support Global Compliance team to track and assist on international compliance matters per local law and regulatory requirement.
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors
  • Assist in daily general ledger operations for the majority of financial statement processes
  • Assist in managing the monthly close process and reconciliations such as accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, and various other areas.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and other cross-functional departments to ensure completeness of accruals
  • Support scaling our processes through automation by working on system implementations and enhancements
  • Lead change in the organization through participation in special projects and ad hoc analyses (i.e. entity rollout, statutory audits, etc.)

Your qualifications, your influence

To be successful in the role, you possess the following skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
  • 2-3+ Years of Public Accounting or Industry experience, Big 4 experience a plus
  • Experience in Workday is a plus
  • Previous role(s) should include audit or corporate accounting
  • Very strong excel skills and passion for new technologies
  • Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable integrity
  • Experience with, and enjoys collaborating with sales executives and sales management
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, rapidly evolving, highly transactional and data driven role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills needed to interface and establish rapport with all levels of the organization
  • You are passionate about driving continuous improvement in yourself and within your functions
  • You challenge the old ways of doing things and enjoy changing the status quo to optimize process
  • You also enjoy working in a dynamic ever-changing, hyper growth environment
