Controller
About the role
We are looking for a Controller to build our accounting team and lay the foundation for our next phase of growth. You will have a strong background in accounting and finance preferably within growth-stage startups, and bring experience in implementing and improving financial systems, processes, and controls. This is a very hands-on role where you will have an immediate impactful. You are an ideal candidate if you have led various aspects of Accounting, Taxes, Treasury, and Finance operations. You will partner with the VP of Finance and cross-functional teams to develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and compliance.

What you’ll do:
- Manage monthly financial close and financial reporting within 5 business days
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, and Revenue Recognition
- Develop, implement and maintain financial processes, policies and procedures to ensure a strong control environment and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement strategies to recover outstanding debts, manage the collections team, and provide guidance and support to team members on complex collection issues
- Assist in the development and maintenance of budgeting and forecasting models to support decision making and planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Hire, mentor, and develop accounting, billing & collections staff
You’re perfect for this role if you:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and are a CPA
- Have 7+ years of experience in accounting, within both large and smaller growth companies in tech, preferably SaaS
- Have strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations (GAAP,
- Have experience in developing and implementing financial processes and controls, particularly with a process improvement mindset
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
