SmartFinancial is a leading insurance technology company working on building tools to make the insurance shopping process better, simpler, and more effective. We are looking for an experienced CFO to join our rapidly growing company. This candidate will be a key strategic partner to the executive team, overseeing the Company's financial planning, business intelligence, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. As a member of our senior management team, you will also provide strategic financial leadership and support on the evaluation of potential strategic deals, capital raises, and m&a activity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a strategic advisor to the company’s leadership team
• Coordinate the development and execution of the annual operating and capital plans
• Oversee the day-to-day accounting, recording, and reporting activities for the entire organization
• Lead the development of key financial processes, including reporting, forecasting, budgeting
• Define key performance metrics and provide actionable insights through reporting

Skills and Requirements:

• Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance
• 5+ years experience in executive leadership positions
• Proven experience raising capital
• Experience working in fast-growing companies
• IPO experience is a plus
• M&A and investor relations experience 
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
• Proficient with Excel and can build and manage complex financial models 
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
