Cash Accountant

The North America Accounting team in seeking a Cash Accountant at our North America Region headquarter in Atlanta, GA office. This role is responsible to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of all cash related accounts for North America. The role works closely with FP&A, Treasury, Credit, Production plants, etc. to ensure the accurate recording of all cash transactions.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliation and analysis on cash related accounts and investigate and research any balancing items.
• Reconcile, research, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Liaison with corporate accounting group and Treasury to ensure the accurate accounting of Cash. Prepare and record daily/monthly accounting cash entries.
• Work closely with the Credit department to ensure the accurate accounting and reconciliation of AR Factoring
• Provide monthly AR factoring and cash analysis reports to stakeholders
• Ensure SOX compliance and provide support for internal and external audits
• Work on special projects and perform analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree Accounting required; CPA or CPA Track Preferred
• Public Accounting experience Preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Cash/Accounting Experience
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Blackline, SAP, HFM, Oracle or similar ERP system
• Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (excel such as pivot table, V-lookup, word, access and power point)

Location Profile

Novelis' Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people. It is co-located with Novelis' North America regional office which employs approximately 225 people. Supporting its 24 operations worldwide Novelis' corporate office is home to the executive leadership team and global functions that support the automotive beverage can and high-end specialties value streams.
