Overview
As Business Planning and Financial Analyst, you will report directly into the Director of Business Planning and Operations and will have the opportunity to support our marketing, platform, finance, product, sales, and customer success operations strategy through system enablement and enhanced financial reporting. This is a unique opportunity to join a small team making large impacts across the organization with significant exposure to the executive team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans, working across all functional areas of the business
- Partner closely with Director of Business Planning & Operations, VP Growth & Operations and VP Finance in preparation and reporting of weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual company financial performance reporting and analysis
- Create actionable insights for all monetization teams to act on, informing (headcount allocation, global allocation, XFN resources, channel segmentation) strategy and growth
- Structure and implement quarterly and annual goal setting and market opportunity analysis.
- Evaluate usage and impact of current tools/tech stack, identify issues/opportunities, and make recommendations to improve reporting and FP&A as well as continue to improve data hygiene
- Build and assist the technical aspects of key infrastructure (marketing automation, Salesforce, corporate model) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads, pipeline, revenue and costs.
- Create presentations and analysis for board meetings and future fundraising
- Conduct due diligence on future M&A opportunities
- Partner with founders and C-Suite to complete ad hoc strategic, financial, and operational analyses
- Ensure the integrity of analysis, reporting, metrics, and systems are of the highest quality
Qualifications :
- 1-3 years of IB/PE/VC/Corporate Finance experience
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (experience in tech or SaaS companies a plus).
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with familiarity of financial statement analysis and accounting.
- Experience with Salesforce and data visualization tools a plus.
- Team player, extremely organized, attention to detail, and strong ability to multitask across various workflows.
- Effective communicator and comfortable presenting in front of c-suite and top levels of management
- Data-driven, results-producing mindset and approach
- A focus on solutions, you are skilled in uncovering areas for improvement across the org, within the sales, marketing, creative operations, data/insights, and customer success teams, developing potential solutions and implementing the best-fit solution for the need.
