We are seeking a Business Manager to become a member of the Civil Systems Group (CSG) Business Management Team. Responsibilities include formulation and management of budgets, financial analyses, data analytics, strategic partnership with leadership to achieve organizational goals, and coordination with various corporate organizations to ensure successful business operations. The selected candidate will also support employees in the multiple divisions across CSG. You will support various off ceiling customers across the country. This position will be a valued business partner to senior leadership, taking leadership roles in financial planning, data analysis/reporting, and project management support. The position has a preferred location of Crystal City, VA, but it can be located at any of our offices across the country.
What You'll Be Doing
- Tracks and formulates overhead budget allocations, tracks direct budget allocations for both expenditures, and labor charges.
- Generates and analyzes various budgets including weekly/monthly financial analysis, year-end financial reporting, and customer reports.
- Initiates and creates progress reports, task estimating, and budget reviews.
- Coordinates regularly with Facilities, Security, Contracts, Pricing, People Operations, Accounting/Finance, and Corporate Communications.
- An integral member of the organizations' management teams, significantly contributing business-related decision making, identification of process improvements, and leading process change implementation.
- Monitor and communicate trends, interpret data analytics and assess implications along with developing actionable strategies. Identify opportunities for future savings, cost efficiencies and operational efficiencies within the organization.
- Optimize compliance with contracts and corporate policies
- Tracks incoming and outgoing property transfers including new equipment purchases.
- Manage facility requirements for staff at multiple geographically-dispersed customer and corporate facilities including office space planning; coordinating facilities/equipment maintenance, moves, and other requirements
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- 8 or more years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance management, or business management.
- Experience of ERP Accounting systems, Tableau, Advanced Excel skills, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems. Excellent computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Office ( Project, Word and PowerPoint)
- Advanced Excel & business modeling skills (pivot tables, V-look ups, Macros, etc.)
- Must have project management and project tracking experience
- Must work well in a team environment and be detail oriented. Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners and influence decisions
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills with an ability to articulate complex financial views to business teams
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in an ambiguous environment
- Possess strong written/oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff and all levels of management
