ABOUT THE ROLE

Bluevine is looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Legal and Compliance team. 

As a BSA/AML Compliance Manager at BlueVine, you will play an essential role in supporting all BSA compliance initiatives, refining internal processes and contributing significantly in BlueVine’s continued success.  The ideal candidate is analytical, results driven and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

This is not a fully remote role. At BlueVine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment.  All of our offices will reopen in accordance with local guidelines, and will follow a hybrid model.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage and support the AML-BSA program 
  • Liaison with the Fraud team to lead AML due diligence reviews and investigations and draft narratives for suspicious activity reports required under the AML/BSA regulations;
  • Responsible for continued maintenance and updates to all compliance policies and procedures;
  • Perform BSA reviews to test controls and practices and work with different functions.
  • Track and manage all FinCen reporting and assuring data integrity  
  • Engaging in policy gap analysis and implementing controls accordingly;  
  • Lead and scale internal monitoring and testing activities and capabilities and work with team to develop internal audit programs; 
  • Coordinate with various business teams for information and required data elements necessary for internal control testing; 
  • Support efforts on reporting compliance matters internally and externally;  
  • Support  the team with broad array of compliance matters (e.g., reviewing applicable regulations, third party risk, implementation strategy of new rules, internal fraud, preparing training decks etc.);
  • Assist with building and implementing new compliance initiatives and programs as applicable;
  • Coordinate with various business teams for information and required data elements necessary for internal control testing.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a relevant related role
  • Banking and BSA experience highly preferred
  • Be highly motivated and be able work individually and as part of a team;
  • Prior experience as a manager desirable; 
  • Very strong organizational and  problem-solving skills; 
  • The ability to self-motivate and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment;
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, patterns and business solutions; and
  • Have excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
