About the role:
Robinhood’s Brokerage Security Office is looking for a stellar Engineering Manager to help build and lead our Brokerage Product Security function. The Brokerage Security Office works with teams across Robinhood to ensure our Brokerage and Clearing products and services are secure and our customer’s data is protected. You will be customer focused and reduce friction for users in utilizing security and privacy features and ensure they get the timely education to protect themselves, their data, and their money. Lastly, you will influence business decisions based on the analysis performed by the team to ensure decisions are being made with security and privacy in mind.
We’re looking for Engineering Managers who are deeply passionate about security, privacy, safety and building healthy teams to lead this critical effort.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Perform proactive assessments covering infrastructure, resilient, security architecture, data security (including privacy), access and identity management, and application security.
Get creative: Collaborate and provide recommendations and solutions to the business to resolve discovered security issues/vulnerabilities.
Work with technical leads to develop strategies, programs, systems and tools that enhance our approach in keeping our users and employees safe and secure
Provide technical expertise and leadership on Robinhood’s Security and Privacy’s solutions, policies, procedures, and standards
Provide visibility to leadership of the security and privacy risks and overall health for the Brokerage division
Escalate and manage security and privacy risks
Work with our cross-functional partners in Communications, Design, Compliance, Product, CXE, Marketing, Legal, Engineering, and Physical Security
Stay up to date on the direction of emerging security and privacy industry trends
Mentor and grow the members the team for their immediate and long-term careers
Recruit top-tier talent at all levels of seniority
Some things we consider critical for this role:
3+ years of experience in people management
5+ years of experience in multiple cyber security disciplines
Experience with Brokerage firms a plus
A passion for Robinhood and the products we produce
Stellar program management skills; the ability to plan, manage, and maintain an organization-wide program over the longer term
Advanced threat modeling skills
