The Job:
The Billing and Promotions Specialist is responsible for researching and applying a majority of the new and existing client promotions for Personal Capital, as well as being the primary contact point for any new promotions and answering questions to promotions in process. Additionally, the Specialist alternates with other team members for pulling management fees, adjusting billing rates and processing any other one-off billing related items.

  • Creating reports in Salesforce/Tableau to determine which clients are eligible for which promotion and then researching and applying promotions to all eligible clients.
  • Auditing new/existing promotions.
  • Coordinating with multiple departments to clarify any discrepancies and learn about/provide input for new promotions.
  • Assist with billing service requests - adjusting agreed upon fee rates, applying free management exceptions, applying fee waivers on particular holdings, researching, recalculating fees if a client is owed money, etc.
  • Assist with the maintenance of existing/creation of reports in order to perform monthly audits - this will also include speaking with advisors to verify your findings.
  • Assist with applying PCG rate billing and adjusting fee rates as necessary.
  • Assist with the processing of termination fees, as well as the monitoring, calculating, and processing fees for any accounts that need to be pre-billed throughout the month.
  • Prepare and process the monthly billing file, as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Minimum Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in financial services operations preferred.
  • Excellent operational, organizational and follow up skills. Current knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Compliance: Proven abilities to maintain appropriate policies & procedures for regulatory-driven requirements.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, team oriented and collaborative. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with multitasking capabilities. Detail-oriented, accurate and extremely organized.
  • Moderate to advanced skills in Excel and Salesforce.
  • Basic to moderate skills with Tableau.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred, but not required.

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
