Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• These duties and responsibilities represent the functions in the Billing and Partner Payment groups.• Develops, leads, manages and motivates staff.• Monitors staff performance, works with Human Resources on issues and works with employees to implement goals and document progress.• Ensures billing department creates and processes accurate invoices in a timely manner according to company processes and standards.• Develops and maintains production schedules.• Manages and controls billing system(s), researches system problems and works to resolve with IT staff.• Identifies areas of potential improvement within the billing system.• Develops and maintains service level agreements (SLA) with internal customers.• Supervises, reviews, researches and resolves customer-related inquiries according to SLAs.• Uses reporting to illustrate potential opportunities, issues or problems.• Other related duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in business or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES• Requires strong management skills• Detailed knowledge of FIS billing operations including invoice processing methodology, billing systems, sales pipeline, and client database systems• Ability to identify, address and resolves employee related issues• Strong analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills• Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks• Ability to meet tight deadlines• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Visio with focus on Excel and Access• Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner• Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management• Ability to design, document, and implement process improvements• Strong system management/control experience• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision; take charge of a project through completion/implementation
FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Supervisory/developing management role - manages activities of a section within the department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to team members within latitude of established departmental policies and handles most employee-related issues, i.e., annual and interim reviews, goal setting and merit increases and if necessary employee actions. Works with senior peers on employee-related performance issues and, if necessary, escalates to Human Resources to determine corrective action plans. Recommends changes to procedures affecting team. Follows established processes and best practices in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to team members in meeting schedules and/or resolving problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements, and may have budget responsibilities. Typically requires a minimum of three years management experience as well as experience in system management control.
