What You’ll Bring to The Team:

The Florence Compliance Team is looking for an Compliance Audit Manager who is passionate about clinical trials to advance cures. To be successful, you must be comfortable with global clinical trials regulations, the software development life cycle (SDLC), audit processes, and document management practices. This role will be the primary point of contact for all external audits and will be responsible for partnering with the IT Security, Sales, Strategic Accounts, and R&D teams to ensure a smooth and positive audit outcome for internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate with all departments to identify the appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for each audit and coordinate any follow up activities that are required.

You will: 

  • Audits: Be the main point of contact for Florence and manage all stages of compliance audits (internal, external, and accreditation) with internal and external stakeholders
  • Internal Oversight: Monitor activities required for audit follow-up and/or corrective action to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external audit responses and commitments 
  • Collaborate: Work collaboratively with Information Security, Sales, Strategic Accounts, and Legal teams to identify and manage privacy, data protection risks, and compliance requirements to help meet stakeholder expectations
  • Innovate: Make broad recommendations on improving compliance related processes and/or procedures as it pertains to the audit process
  • Partner: Work with management and/or business teams to implement solutions

An Ideal Candidate has:

  • BA/BS in a business related field and/or equivalent years of education and experience working in a related field, preferably with a focus on software audits
  • 3-5 years experience in either a software as a service (SaaS) Vendor, cloud provider, or other eClinical Platform
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures related to Agile SDLC, privacy (HIPAA, GDPR), and the eClinical industry (GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, software validation)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interpret and communicate compliance related requirements and concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
  • Successful experience working, collaborating, and establishing credibility and relationships with senior leadership, colleagues, and clients
  • Demonstrated success working with internal audit, external auditors, outside consultants, and legal affairs
  • Interested in continuous improvement, iterative design, and ways to minimize waste and redundancy
  • Comfortable working independently, challenging the status quo, and meeting deadlines
  • Willingness to learn global laws and regulations impacting software audits in partnership with our global strategy colleagues and regulatory SMEs
