We are looking for an Associate Principal to join the Hosting Business FP&A team to focus on strategic planning, budget management, and financial analysis.  This role will oversee financial operations and management of the operating budgets of several groups within the Hosting Business. This role will work closely with various members of the Hosting leadership team and cross-functional Finance teams including FP&A, Accounting, and Employee Experience, reporting to the Senior Principal, Business Finance & Analytics, FinOps for the Hosting Business Unit.  This role will take the lead on budgeting, planning and forecasting activities for headcount and operating expenses for several areas within the Hosting Business. 

The ideal candidate possesses strong operating expense, headcount and budget management experience, process and expense optimization expertise, and excellent communication skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive operating expense management related activities, including but not limited to:  annual planning, monthly/quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting and insights
  • Support operating expense and headcount management for multiple businesses within the Hosting Business unit
  • Partner closely with finance and business leaders to drive outcomes through the efficient allocation of resources
  • Influence business partner decisions through ad hoc analytics and business insights. Build thoughtful analyses to drive better investment decisions and tradeoffs
  • Review monthly/quarterly budget results with business partners - Understand variances to forecast/budget and be able to tell the story behind the numbers
  • Optimize existing close/forecast processes or create new processes where needed in order to improve efficiency and communication
  • Partner closely with Corporate FP&A to ensure all corporate deliverables are met and insights on performance are delivered on time for management reporting deadlines 
  • Implement controls around key spending areas that satisfy the needs of accounting/finance and business partners

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in managing large operating expense and headcount budgets 
  • Solid understanding of GAAP 
  • Excellent planning and time management skills; experience in optimizing processes/workflows
  • Proactive and creative problem solver with tremendous intellectual horsepower
  • Exceptional ability to effectively collaborate with and influence business partners 
  • Strong communication skills to all levels of the organization and superb attention to detail
  • Experience with Workday and Tableau a plus
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced constantly changing environment
