Who are we looking for?
SentinelOne is searching for a talented Associate to join our Corporate Development team. Corporate Development is one of the pillars supporting SentinelOne’s long term strategy and growth. The SentinelOne Corporate Development team is responsible for helping shape SentinelOne’s strategy and sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing on strategic M&A and investment opportunities.
In this role, you will be focused on helping accelerate SentinelOne’s inorganic growth through identifying and executing on strategic acquisitions and investments across existing and future addressable markets. You’ll serve as a key member of the deal team on transactions, working closely with SentinelOne executives, finance, legal, HR, GTM, product and engineering. You should be passionate about cybersecurity and data analytics, have a solid understanding of finance, accounting, and SaaS business models, and always looking to learn something new.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform market landscape analyses and reviews of companies of potential interest
- Partner closely with SentinelOne’s product and go-to-market leaders to understand product strategy and where / how inorganic opportunities can accelerate our growth
- Stay close to the ecosystem to understand the participants and landscape. Provide insights to SentinelOne leadership to drive decision-making
- Own the financial modeling for deals, including accretion / dilution, various operating model scenarios, synergies, DCF, ROI, comparable analysis, and other market models
- Work collaboratively across functions to identify, evaluate, and discuss both acquisition and strategic investment opportunities
- Prepare presentations for SentinelOne leaders that balance detailed analysis with crisp conclusions
Ideal Candidate
- Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills, ideally for enterprise software, SaaS businesses
- Leadership capabilities and ability to operate successfully in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to juggle, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated to take ownership of the projects and solve problems creatively
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively across all levels
- Sound judgment to navigate complex scenarios
- Knowledge of subscription business models and enterprise software industry, and personal interest in cybersecurity and data analytics technologies
Education and Experience
- 2-3 years of experience as an analyst at a top-tier investment bank or a private equity firm with deal experience, ideally in the technology industry with a focus on enterprise software market
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Math, or Engineering
