Associate, Capital Markets, Southeast: Build Something Meaningful

Role Summary:

The Associate, Capital Markets ("CMA") position is a hybrid role whereby you oversee both business development and technical financial analysis of real estate investment opportunities in the Southeast. You will educate executive leadership of the nation's leading real estate owners, operators, and developers (a.k.a. "sponsors") about the benefits of online syndication. You will prospect, educate, and source deals from new sponsors in your designated territory. You will also evaluate the sponsor and deals' suitability for CrowdStreet, and help manage the relationship as the sponsor moves through the application and deal screening process. Finally, you will help grow the business by working with other teams at CrowdStreet on strategic projects. As an important member of the Capital Markets team, you will be teamed up with the regional Managing Directors ("MD") to grow our sponsor customer base.

The Success You'll Build: Primary Responsibilities and Influence

  • Prospect, educate, and secure meetings with our ideal sponsors
  • Create new sales opportunities from the sponsors that you sourced
  • Revenue generation as a result of the above two goals
  • Use Salesforce and Hubspot for sales automation and opportunity tracking.
  • Perform analysis and due diligence of deals that enter CrowdStreet's pipeline to ensure they meet investment committee thesis and mandates.
  • Contribute to the sale and deal screening process by assisting your MD with data collection and analysis before submittal to investment committee.
  • Partner with the MD to create quarterly strategies/execution plans to hit sales quota goals, and then support your teammates for goal accomplishment.
  • Maintain current knowledge of real estate industry market conditions and trends that impact investment analysis and valuation in your region.
  • Cultivate relationships with regional brokers to create deal sourcing partnerships.
  • Represent CrowdStreet at regional and national conferences and industry events.
  • Work with other teams on projects that improve the CrowdStreet platform at the enterprise level.
  • You will report directly to the VP Capital Markets with a dotted line to Managing Directors

The Experiences That Will Help You Succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • 4+ years of CRE investment sales, acquisition, or analyst experience in the CRE capital markets industry
  • History of meeting sales quota goals, or related targets along with a history of making cold outreach to prospective clients with no existing relationship
  • Team player mentality with the ability to work collegially throughout the firm
  • Experience with sales automation tools (i.e. Salesforce and Hubspot)
