Assistant Controller
As Assistant Controller, you will report into the Corporate Controller and will help develop and build out our accounting team. The Assistant Controller is a critical role that is responsible for a wide range of controllership activities including oversight of the monthly close, driving process and control improvement, and creation of accounting policies. This opportunity will allow you to be an influential leader and cross functional partner to contribute meaningfully and drive results across various projects in an exciting, fast-paced, high growth SaaS organization; this role will drive finance transformation through process improvement and automation.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting transactional accounting activities including general ledger, purchasing / accounts payable, corporate credit program and payroll
Manage monthly financial close journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations, financial reporting and chart of accounts maintenance
Drive continuous improvements in processes and systems - assist or lead system automation and implementation projects
Assist with the development and maintenance of policies and internal controls
Partner cross-functionally with IT, HR and/or FP&A to execute strategic initiatives.
Prepare ad hoc assignments as requested
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA preferred
8+ years of progressive experience (with mix of public accounting firm and technology industry experience)
Strong experience with NetSuite
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Strong experience in process design and controls implementation
Strong organizational and communication skills
Prior people management experience (building out an accounting team)
Advanced knowledge working with Excel
Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously
Willingness to roll-up your sleeves when work needs to get done
