- Lead the daily operations of our accounting team, with a focus on cultivating a positive and inclusive team culture while driving process efficiency and team members’ professional development.
- Manage the Company’s monthly close process, including the review of month-end close procedures and designing and implementing continuous improvements.
- Establish and maintain key accounting policies, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and explore opportunities for standardization and efficiency. Ability to proactively make recommendations and decisions necessary to lead the department.
- Coordinate a series of projects to best leverage the Company’s utilization of its ERP working toward automation and optimization of Corporate close processes.
- Involvement in ongoing internal control initiatives requirements and coordination of financial and operational controls.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual financial statements and related analyses used for external filings. Also, support the team with the performance of statutory audit filings.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to operational and senior management.
- Identify, research, and explain variances as part of the monthly reporting process.
- Work with internal and external auditors.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferably Big4 background, and CPA designation required.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive combined public accounting and public company industry accounting experience, management reporting, financial analysis, technical accounting research, and implementation of business process improvements.
- Experience leading a team of Accounting professionals
- Strong attention to detail, with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and SEC reporting requirements. Experience with international subsidiaries.
- Experience in improving business processes and a proven track record of driving efficiency improvements.
- Ability to work with a high level of initiative and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in cutting-edge accounting information systems, including FCR (FloQast), P2P (Airbase), API tools (Tray.io/Celigo/etc.), and cloud ERP system software (Sage Intacct/Netsuite/Quickbooks)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
