Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist performs a variety of administrative duties such as reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, processing invoices, preparing reports, researching vendor inquiries, and other similar activities.

Job Duties:

• Subject matter expert for assigned areas of responsibility
• Serves as team lead to staff not under direct supervision
• Active participation and project management responsibility for special projects
• Responsible for the preparation of reports, schedules and reconciliations
• Prepares and uploads necessary journal entries into the appropriate accounting system
• Assist in the analysis and preparation of financial data
• Ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures
• Uses judgment in setting priorities to complete assignments
• Ad Hoc projects as requested by management
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Internal applicants should meet all eligibility requirements per employee handbook.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent. Some college preferred
• Minimum of three year's of experience required
• Works under immediate supervision
• Salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience
