We are seeking an Investor Accounting Analyst in our St. Paul, MN office. The Investor Accounting Analyst will provide an advanced level of performance and supervision related to the collection, movement, remitting and reporting of cash transactions. Through experience and/or technical expertise, the Analyst adds value to the Agency Servicing Department in a manner that is consistently above the expectations of the Investor Accounting Analyst. The Analyst provides management with timely reports as to the status of functional areas, trains and leads others with functional areas, and develops recommendations for improvements which conform to industry trends and investor requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform daily cash management activities
  • Reconcile and process remittance reporting, resolving differences through loan-level research
  • Process purchase and securitization of loans in the accounting system
  • Provide ad hoc reports to management, investors, borrows and others as requested
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls and policies and procedures.
  • Audit data and ensure integrity within our servicing software, Precision
  • Serve as lead contact during audits and ensure those audit findings are cured within required timeframe
  • Initiate process improvements increasing efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility
  • Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned by management


Requirements:

  • One or more years of experience in accounting, servicing or mortgage banking
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or real estate preferred
  • Experience with investor requirements of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, GinnieMae/HUD/FHA, CMBS and Life Companies a plus
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate
  • Familiarity with SOX guidelines and compliance
  • Microsoft Office experience with highly advanced knowledge of Excel
