Advice Integration Consultant - Planning Experience (PX)

Summary
Consults across Northwestern Mutual Planning Experience teams to ensure all financial planning software, training and content developed for advisors and clients improves client outcomes, while driving other parts of Northwestern Mutual corporate strategy. Support client engagement utilizing experiences in an advisory role.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and creating standards and guidance on how advisors do financial planning, including Northwestern Mutual's Financial Planning Philosophy (FPP). Aligns FPP content and ensures it is integrated into all planning resources produced by the Home Office. Advocates for financial planning and how it drives the overall corporate objectives and brings Northwestern Mutual's strategy to life with our field representatives and clients.
- Provides proactive support of corporate objectives and strategy into the Planning Experience (PX) financial planning software, and PX training and adoption materials.
- Participates in developing requirements for PX planning software and content used by advisors.
- Analyzes data related to financial planning and PX to develop insights and hypotheses
- Provides support for PX Engineering in providing use cases; assisting in developing and conducting user acceptance testing
- Creates financial planning standards and planning philosophy to ensure they reflect best in class methods of planning, consistent with Northwestern Mutual strategy for outstanding client experiences (CX)
- Analyzing and research on methods of financial planning involving integration of insurance products in a financial plan for figuring out methods to deliver better outcomes for clients.
- Preparing case studies on success practices for financial planning for use by Advisors or other stakeholders in preparing material for advisors, clients, home office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Certifications or designations related to financial planning including CFP®, CFA, ChFC or CLU
- At least five years prior experience in areas where planning subject matter expertise was used
- Knowledge of financial services or advice or planning industry preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Northwestern Mutual advisors, or similar experience and relevant understanding is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with financial planning software highly desirable
