Job Summary
The Actuarial Stat Reporting Consultant is part of the Property & Casualty Reserve Reporting Team within CNA's Actuarial Organization. This group is responsible for overseeing the financial close process on behalf of the Actuarial Reserving teams, as well as supporting internal and external reporting needs as they relate to Property & Casualty reserves. This role works closely with business partners in Accounting and Finance, as well as Actuarial Line of Business teams, and has the opportunity to leverage new technologies to enhance and improve processes.

Manager or above
Skills Knowledge and Abilities
1. Well-developed understanding of finance and/or accounting for a Property & Casualty Insurance Carrier.
2. Prior experience with SQL and/or Workday General Ledger a plus.
3. Strong knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software.
4. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels.
6. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and ability to work independently.
7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
2. Typically a minimum of three years of related work experience.

This group is responsible for overseeing the financial close process on behalf of the Actuarial Reserving teams, as well as supporting internal and external reporting needs as they relate to Property & Casualty reserves. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Works with business partners to translate Actuarial decisions into booked financial results in the Workday General Ledger in a Financial Close environment.
- Maintains accurate data in the Company's Reserving Subledger, including booking changes to reserves, and performing reconciliations between the Subledger and the General Ledger.
- Supports management reporting needs, including executive presentation materials and analytical support for the Actuarial teams.
- Assists in preparing quarterly/annual statutory and/or GAAP financial statement disclosures and schedules/exhibits.
- Liaison with internal and external auditors and performs controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
- Participates in and helps identify process improvement projects, including furthering use of technology to streamline processes.
