Actuarial Senior Advisor - Pricing Enablement - Work From Home
Key Areas of Responsibility
- For manually rated business (no experience, all Presale) there is desire to improve specific calculations and workflow to enhance the functionality of iQuote and rating tools
- The responsibilities of this role would be to research the moving pieces involved, recommend a solution and produce an Excel representation of the build, test the changes, and support the project until it gets released into production.
- The delivery of these projects is to be second half of 2022
- Project #1 - Currently presales require that subscriber information be used in quoting. This project would be to implement member level rating into presales. This solutions needs to work in the current state of iQuote as well as work in the proposed "NextGen" version of iQuote, so it will be important to understand how the NextGen project is unfolding.
- Project #2 - Currently when underwriters quote a case, they have to manually adjust rates to find the right level that gets the earnings per customer (EPC) value to a particular rate level. This project would be to determine the calculations and tool changes that would be needed to automatically calculate, apply and display the adjustment needed to get to that target level. The requirements would be different for different fundings (e.g. Guaranteed Cost versus ASO) because of the differing components of premium in the different worlds. Other adjustments that are currently made would have to be considered and revised. This solutions needs to work in the proposed "NextGen" version of iQuote, so it will be important to understand how the NextGen project is unfolding.

- Design workable and efficient changes to the projection tool (iQuote) that improve methodology and meet the needs of Pricing Methodology, UW Enablement and other Pricing business areas
- Understand the methodology and moving pieces in the projection tool
- Vet the designs, code and test the solutions in the Excel transaction engines, independently and with review by Methodology, prior to releasing to coding team
- Keep documentation up to date

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science or related field strongly preferred
Minimum 5+ years of actuarial experience preferred
FSA designation preferred
Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to be proactive and effect change, influence, persuade, and collaborate with audiences at various levels of experience and responsibility

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 113,800 - 189,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
